The truth? There wasn’t a good answer. Most programs were either way too basic, not skin-specific, or totally overwhelming. So we decided to build the training we wished existed — one that combined evidence-based nutrition with real skin expertise.
We’re Katie, Cris, and Paige — nutritionists, educators, skin nerds, and podcast hosts who believe clear skin starts from within. We created Functional Nutrition Skin Institute to give estheticians, functional derms, and skincare schools the inside-out education they’ve been missing.

At KSW Inc., Cris coached thousands of acne clients and trained certified acne nutritionists in the CSS method. Now she brings her business brain and straight-shooting style to FNSI — usually in sneakers, with coffee in hand, and a minimalist skincare routine that makes Katie cringe.
Katie Stewart
CO-FOUNDER + CREATIVE VISIONARY
Registered Holistic Nutritionist, mom of two boys, and co-host of The Clear Skin Chronicles. Katie is the founder of KSW Inc. and the renowned Clear Skin Solution (CSS), a program that’s helped over 3,000 women clear their skin using a functional, inside-out approach. She’s the creative force and community builder at FNSI, usually juggling matcha, motherhood, spicy books, and a red light mask (with 2000s hip hop playing, obviously).
Paige Fursman
CO-FOUNDER + DIRECTOR OF ALL THE DETAILS
Systems guru, sunshine chaser, and the glue that keeps FNSI running smoothly. With a background in wellness operations and curriculum development, Paige brings structure to our big ideas and heart to every detail. She’s the behind-the-scenes boss who thrives on logistics, leads our student experience, and is always down for a motivational quote — preferably while camping, drinking matcha, or watching Schitt’s Creek for the 8th time.
